Current interests and caseload include mediation, men's
issues, sexuality, sexual offence, risk management of parolees in the community, family violence, adolescence, parenting, parenting coordination, workplace violence, trauma, and pain management. Treatment modalities include Individual, Couple, Family, and
Group Therapy. Other services include Assessment, Mediation, Family Law Arbitration, Family Life Education,
Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, Workshop/Training, Consultation and Clinical Supervision. Location: Guelph and Wellington, Peel,
London, St. Catherine, and Waterloo Regions. September 1985 to Present.
Sexual Offence Specific
- Currently providing sexual offence specific treatment and risk management of Federal parolees and other sexual offenders placed under the Section 810 orders in the Waterloo Region. The main contract to service this target population was granted through the Mennonite Central Committee Ontario - Community Reintegration Project, Circles of Support & Accountability (CoSA), and The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) . Other partner includes the office of the High Risk Offender Coordinator, Waterloo Regional Police. As well, I provide consultation to probation & parole officers & their area managers, and oversee some of their clients located throughout Southern-Western Ontario. May 2001 to Present.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) family therapist, sexual offence specific & sexual abuse treatment provider, workplace violence consultant & facilitator/mediator through Pace Consulting Group, Inc. Waterloo Region. April 1995 to Present.
- Clinical practitioner with The Associated Clinical Professionals, a group consisted of clinical and educational psychologists. Caseload mainly in areas that included family violence, therapy/mediation, and with men who battered and sexually offended. 1995 to 1997.
- Group Therapy Associates (GTA), London , Ontario . Founding member and practitioner for the delivery of sexual offence specific risk assessment and treatment of adult male sexual offenders for the National Parole Board (Western District, London ), Correctional Services of Canada. Co-led two sexual offence specific treatment groups weekly. Also provided in-house training to parole and probation officers and their managers on family violence issues. The training focused on the safety and well-being of the children and partners of sexual offence parolees living in the community. January 1993 to June 1996.
- Lutherwood Assessment & Clinical Resource Centre and Lutherwood Mental Health Centre. September 1990 to February 1996. A Team Leader - responsible for the leadership of an interdisciplinary team (psychiatrist, psychologist, nurse-practitioner, social worker, school teacher, chaplain, child & youth care workers). Developed and co-led the Lutherwood Male Adolescent Sexual Offender Group. Clinical consultation to other professionals in Waterloo Region, including Waterloo County Public School Board, Family and Children's Services of Waterloo Region, & Waterloo Region Parole & Probation Services.
- Rapport Youth & Family Counselling Inc., Brampton , Ontario . January 1988 to September 1990. Caseload consisted of the following treatment areas: sexuality, sexual offences, family violence, depression, suicide ideation, relationship and other personal adjustment issues. Clinical tasks include intake, crisis intervention, individual, couple and family therapy, and group therapy.
Sexual Abuse Specific
- Providing consultation and curriculum development for the Advocates for Male Victims of Sexual Abuse (AMVOSA), Waterloo Region, Ontario . AMVOSA is a voluntary organization supported by a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Central purpose of the grant is to design and implement a comprehensive training/education curriculum for therapists, volunteers and community organizations to support males who have been sexually abused. Partners of AMVOSO include Canadian Mental Health Association, John Howard Society and Community Justice Initiatives. January 2002 to Present.

- A co-leader of the Partner Assault Response (PAR) Program through Design for a New Tomorrow. St. Catharines . This is a Court mandated treatment program for males who have assaulted their intimate partners. The group design provides Cognitive Restructuring and Relapse Prevention Treatment for these male offenders. July 2002 to 2004.

Mediation
- Currently on the roster of the Centre for Family Mediation. The Centre is dedicated to bringing comprehensive and affordable family mediation services to all residents of the Niagara Region served by the Superior Court of Justice in St. Catharines. In collaboration with the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario, family mediation services are offered on a sliding scale geared to income. 2001 to Present.
